Additional to the capital city, the state’s largest cities include Acapulco, Petatlan, Ciudad Altamirano, Taxco, Zihuatanejo, Iguala, Ixtapa, and Santo Domingo. Currently, Guerrero Mexico is home to numerous indigenous communities, including the Mixtecs, Nahuas and Amuzgos. In the Costa Chica region, it is also home to communities of Afro-Mexicans.
